My Vajilla Babosa. (My slimy tableware) draws inspiration from Talavera pottery, featuring slugs in place of vivid flowers. This substitution symbolizes the consumption of blooms and hues, commenting on our overuse of resources. Blending humour with refinement, the collection introduces an unexpected element to dining experience, exploring beauty, craft, and heritage. As slugs ‘devour’ the blooms, it prompts a reconsideration of our appetite for beauty and resources, highlighting the balance between creation and consumption.
